M8Studio: peer-to-peer remote recording, free forever

M8Studio is live. The first public build ships everything needed for a real remote session:

  • One plugin on the cue bus — M8Studio sends your monitor mix to the artist and writes their uncompressed PCM onto the same bus, PDC-aligned to the record start time.
  • M8Artist — standalone app or browser tab: input gain with AUTO GAIN (Audient-style scan), monitor mix with monitor-only reverb, limiters, chat, reminders.
  • Auto talkback — stream detection closes talkback while audio flows and reopens on silence. PTT still wins.
  • Security — TLS-only database, rate-limited auth, privacy modes down to invisible.
